This day started with breakfast on the lanai. It is
interesting to watch the golf club employees come out with the various equipment
to prepare the course for the day’s play. It seems like every day there is a
different operation going on. They must have all the maintenance planned
perfectly because as soon as the workers leave, the golfers come.
We took Alyson to Delnor Wiggins Pass State Park. This is
one of our favorite beaches in southwest Florida. We especially like that the
beach is separated from the parking lot by trees and shrubby.
Two thirds of our group actually got in the water. Even
though the air temps are pleasantly warm, the gulf water is still chilly.
We took our picnic basket and ate our lunch just off the
sand. The beach is in the background of the photo.
This park has four geocaches hidden on it—two of them
have to be accessed by boat. We only had time to look for the two which were on
dry land and we found them both. On our way back to the condo, we took time to
find three others.
We prepared a quick dinner and then settled in for the
night!
