There was another pretty sunrise this morning. We are amazed
at the beauty of God’s world every day and are so very thankful that we can
spend some of this winter in a warm climate.
We were shopping in a Super Wal-Mart today and a clerk
laughed at me when I asked him if they stocked Baltimore Ravens’ shirts. I
really wish I had one to wear for the next week.
Barb and I attended a workshop offered by the community on
how to write our memoirs. Not surprisingly, she and I were the two youngest
people there! The two hours we were in class flew by and we both came away with
some super ideas of how to get started on such a project. Several of the people
in the class are planning on meeting again to follow up on one another’s progress.
While the focus at home today must have been on the
Inauguration, the biggest decision we had to make was: do we close the sliding
glass doors and run the air conditioning or not? It was agreed that we would
leave the doors open and turn on the ceiling fans. Then if it wasn’t cool
enough by bedtime, we will run the A/C.
Jim grilled steaks outside for us this evening and we had a
delicious meal.
I have been craving birthday cake for a couple of weeks. While
we were shopping, we realized that a good friend, Barbie, is having a birthday
this week. When we found a cake on sale, we didn’t hesitate to get it so we
could celebrate her birthday long distance.

LOL! I'm sure Barbie will be thrilled you ate cake in her honor!
Play on!
Joanne and I didn't even THINK about the inauguration yesterday! We were much too busy chasing caches! We only had one DNF the whole day! Not bad! And it was a doozya... so we didn't really feel bad about it. We DO however want a 2nd go at it! :)
