We began our Sabbath morning by relaxing on the lanai before
leaving for church.
We returned to Hope Lutheran Church in Bonita Springs. They
have their coffee hour outside. It was hard for me to believe there is such
cold weather back in Maryland while everyone at church was mingling in short sleeved
shirts, etc.
Before returning to our condo, we took some time to show a
couple of our favorite places to Jim and Barb. One of these is a banyan tree in
old Bonita Springs.
Cordell especially like that this tree was planted by a man
who shares his first name.
We re-visited the young sweethearts on the park bench near
the tree.
Barb really enjoyed the Pottery Shop and I am always amazed
at the number of pots and decorations that are there. I am equally amazed at
the prices of some of the pieces and can hardly imagine where people put the
really expensive ones.
We stopped for lunch at Fitzgerald’s, an Irish Pub. We had a
choice of breakfast or lunch and we all chose lunch. The food was very good and
the service was faster than we expected.
We made sure to get back to our condo in time to watch the
Raven’s game. It was an exciting game and took a lot of my energy.
Cordell and Barb were not too tired to celebrate the Ravens' victory in their
own way.
The four of us are looking forward to spending the next week
together and are so glad that we are such good friends.
