Well, it is not all
fun and games here for us. This morning we finally bit the bullet and cleaned
our condo. :(
We are expecting house guests to arrive on
Saturday and even though they are our good friends, we wanted the place presentable
when they get here. Somehow, it seems so much easier to clean when we know we
can play later. Isn’t that like a promise we have all made to our children at
one time or the other?
This was a windy day at Bonita Springs and a cool front was
blowing in. We didn’t especially want to go to the beach or to the swimming pool,
so we decided to do some geocaching. Since there are so many caches in this area,
only a short ride is required to find some. Today, we found 5 caches. My
favorite one was placed off the parking lot at the local hockey arena. The cache
owner had attached a hockey puck to a plastic bottle that was sunk into the
ground.
We had a quiet dinner at home and relaxed for the remainder
of the evening—something we have learned how to do very, very well. We monitored
the weather reports all through the day which were forecasting the possibility
of snow or other precipitation for Maryland and Virginia. While we were so glad
to be here, we still had concerns for our family and friends and we went to
sleep with prayers on our lips for them.

We got about 6" here. It fell very quickly and is melting very quickly. Matthew was thrilled for an extra day off from school. Send some warmth our way.
Still no snow here... but it is so cold even my brains are cold!!! I am ready to leave Maryland this minute!
