This morning I woke up and
realized that we will be leaving this condo in one month. It is going to be
very hard for me to return to a cold climate. When we looked at the weather app
on our iPhones, it was interesting to see the 32° temperature and precipitation
in Dunkirk while at the same time we had 63° and sun in Bonita Springs. The high today was 82° which is above the
normal for this time of the year.
We relaxed on the lanai while
reading about schools in Calvert County being delayed due to the adverse
weather.
We had to make another trip to
the grocery store this morning, but we are now stocked up again. We dashed back
to the condo and grabbed a quick lunch—hotdogs on the lanai.
Then we went to the nearby
shopping center for Cordell to get his hair cut. We were using our GPS to find
the hair salon and still had a problem spotting it due to the numerous trees
all growing all around the shops.
Both of us have been very
spoiled by having the same stylist for more than 30 years. The gal who cut
Cordell’s hair is a huge San Diego Chargers fan having moved from there just
three years ago. Cordell was impressed by her knowledge of current players,
coaches and general managers. Both of them agreed that they were glad when Norv
Turner left their teams. Cordell confessed that he is a Redskins fan even
though wore a Ravens cap into the salon.
While strolling around the
shopping center, I saw this interesting bicycle rack--it looks like bikes..
Our geobuddy, Melli, arrived
this afternoon and will spend the week with us.
She and I were busy on our
computers after dinner. She is not really confined to the kitchen. We were
answering our e-mail, checking Facebook posts and checking out possibilities
for geocaching.
We are looking forward to having a lot of fun with her.
