We awoke to a rainy morning here in Bonita Springs. At least, the forecast calls for sun by this afternoon. However, this weather doesn’t seem to bother the wildlife in our neighborhood. We observed a roseate spoonbill walking around the lake and it appeared not to have a care in the world.

Cordell had his first tee time since we arrived at 8:50 a.m., but he cancelled it. A lot of people probably would have played several rounds of golf by now. But Cordell says he didn’t come to Florida to play golf—he came to Florida and he will play golf. We don’t especially like geocaching in the rain, so we have just stayed in this morning and caught up on our Bible study reading.

The condo owners stopped by this afternoon and brought a nice bouquet of flowers. They are from Massachusetts and have a house in this community.

The sky cleared late this afternoon and the golfers were able to finally get out. We went to the store again and purchased enough groceries to last us for several days while Alyson is with us. We don’t want anything to interfere in our time with her!

We have been to the clubhouse a couple of times. They have a dress code so it is a good thing that we brought some shirts with collars with us. And denim shorts are a no-no. Cordell can’t wear a hat inside either, but that’s OK because he has retired his Redskins cap until next year.

There is a very nice dinner served two nights a week at the club.

We enjoyed watching the sun set while we ate there recently.
