We woke up to an absolutely
beautiful morning. This is the first time that I have seen the sprinklers watering
the 12th hole. Each morning, the crew is outside before daybreak
grooming the course. They use some type of machine that blows the moisture off
the fairways. Not sure what is going to happen today.
We started with coffee on the
lanai with Melli. Cordell was giving her some tips for using an app on her
smart phone. We are not sure if any of us are smarter than a fifth grader!
After breakfast, we headed out to
Delanor Wiggins-Pass State Park which is one of our favorite beaches. When we
passed through the park entrance, there was an information board where we read
that the water temperature was 68°. However, it was just perfect for sitting on
the beach.
Cordell ventured in the water.
Melli thoroughly enjoyed her time
in the gulf.
I was perfectly content to sit
in the sun and only got in the water far enough to wash the sand off my legs.
We have saved a chair for you,
friends!
We love the atmosphere at this
beach and we have seen dolphins every time we have visited and today was no
exception. We brought a picnic basket packed with lunch fixings.
Too soon, we needed to get out
of the sun but since there were two geocaches in the park that we had
previously found last year, Cordell took Melli to look for them.
We enjoyed this day so much that
none of us were ready for it to end. It was dark by the time we got home and we
were pleasantly tired—some more than others. Cordell went out and got pizza and
brought it home for us. Another blessed day for us!!
