Now that we are alone here in Bonita Springs, we are
having even more trouble remembering what day it is. Wednesday, we downshifted our
gears and spent a very lazy day. I finally was able to get current with my blog
posts and Cordell went for a walk through the community in the morning.
After eating lunch at Chick-fil-A, we spent the remainder
of the afternoon looking for geocaches. We were successful and found nine
caches.
Then we had to take time out to get some groceries and it was dark by
the time we returned to our condo.
We watched a few old shows on TV and then turned in for
the night feeling very well rested.
Rain set in before midnight and continued throughout the
night. It was still raining when we woke up on Thursday morning.
Shortly before
noon the rain stopped, but the forecast was for more rain in the afternoon.
So, after lunch we decided to go look for some more geocaches.
There is a cache owner who has placed some clever hides and we just couldn’t
resist looking for some of them. Not only are his containers original, but he
also finds unusual ways to hide them which gives us interesting challenges.
We were able to find only four caches before the rain
returned and it became heavier as the day passed. So, we packed it in and have
been relaxing the rest of the day.
We cannot complain about this day of rain
after we have had such gorgeous weather so many other days. Besides, this area
needed rain. And rain in Florida on Valentine’s Day is nothing like what it
would have been in Maryland. But, I think there was sun at home today!

I have yet to go caching since I've arrived home! LOL! I may call Joanne tomorrow... :) That rain sounds heavenly on the lanai... a great day to just curl up with a book!
