What a joy it was to start our day by having breakfast
with Janelle!
Then we were off to the Naples Zoo again. Even though this was our third trip to this zoo
within the past month, we never tire of sharing it with our friends and family.
There are two featured shows given each day in which
various animals, reptiles and birds are exhibited. The handlers give us a lot
of interesting information about each specimen.
We took the Primate Expedition Cruise on Lake Victoria.
The animals on the islands are not in any cages because the water creates a
barrier that they do not cross.
Janelle got to feed a giraffe.
Cordell and Janelle took a ride on a camel—Joshua—the same
one Barb and I rode a few weeks ago.
The White Ibis know how to open the slot on the seed
dispensers and get the pieces that are left behind.
Some of them actually ate
out of Janelle’s hands.
We returned to our condo in time for Janelle to enjoy
some time at the swimming pool. She especially liked sitting behind the
fountain.
Dinner tonight was eaten out on the lanai and we all were
very grateful to be able to spend time outdoors on this beautiful warm day—especially
when we considered the cold temperatures at home.
