We have noted that there is a lot of maintenance being done to this golf course every single day. This morning when I woke up shortly after 6:00am, I saw what I thought was flashes of lightning through our bedroom shutters. When I looked out the window, it was only the grounds crew grooming the course, running their machinery with headlights on. Later in the morning, I saw another piece of equipment with an attachment like I have seen used on the infield at baseball games. Golfers were on the course by that time, but they never let this interfere with their play. This must have been the same people I saw playing in the rain last week!

Fallen leaves don’t look the same here as at home!

 

We have done so much in the past 7 weeks that all we want to do now is nothing!!! So, we spent a couple of hours at the community swimming pool. I noted that 30 minutes in the hot sun sure seems to pass a lot slower than 30 minutes of searching for a geocache!

In the 17 months of our geocaching “career” we have not been to a site that concerned us as much as this one when we saw a nearby sign that warned us of venomous snakes. I will confess that we thought a bit before deciding to poke around this site! However, after scoping out the area from inside our geomobile and with the information we had, we decided to take a chance. We quickly spotted the likely place where the cache was hidden and made sure we trod heavily and loudly as we approached “ground zero”. We made a quick retrieval of the cache, signed the log and replaced it in record time—all the while keeping a nervous eye cast in every direction.

 While out an about this afternoon we spied a pair of shoes in the middle of the road at a crosswalk. I wonder what happened to the person who was wearing them!

 We ate dinner out tonight at a well know restaurant. Can you guess where we were?
